How do I start recording my screen?

Click the "Start Recording" button. The browser will ask for permission to share your screen. Select the screen or window you want to record, and if desired, check the option to capture system audio.

How do I pause my screen recording?

Use the "Pause" button to temporarily stop the recording. To resume, click "Pause" again.

How do I stop and save a screen recording?

Click the "Stop" button to finish recording. The video will be automatically saved in .mkv format and downloaded to your computer.

How do I turn the microphone on and off?

Use the "Microphone" button to turn audio capture from your microphone on or off. You can toggle your microphone on or off at any time, even while recording.

How do I add my microphone sound to the recording?

Click the "Microphone" button to enable capturing of audio from your microphone. Make sure your browser has permission to access your microphone.

How do I know if the microphone is on or off?
  • The button icon changes to indicate the microphone state:

    • "Mic" icon (microphone on): The microphone is active and capturing audio.

    • "Mic Off" icon (microphone off): The microphone is inactive and does not capture audio.

What happens if I don't turn on the microphone?

If the microphone is turned off, only the screen sound (if you have selected the option to capture system audio) will be recorded. If you do not capture screen sound, the recording will be made without audio.

Why is the microphone not working?

Make sure your browser has permission to access your microphone. If your browser blocks access, you'll see a message asking for permission. Also, make sure your microphone is connected and working properly on your device.

Does the microphone only capture my voice?

Yes, the microphone captures audio from your surroundings, including your voice. Make sure you are in a quiet location to avoid unwanted noise in the recording.

Can I use headphones with a microphone?

Yes, you can use headphones with a microphone. Make sure you select the correct microphone in your device's audio settings.

Does the microphone record along with the screen sound?

Yes, if you turn on your microphone and select the option to capture screen sound, both audios will be recorded together. If you prefer to record only one of them, turn off your microphone or do not select screen sound.


Permissions

Why can't I choose to capture system sound?

Make sure your browser is up to date and there are no permission blocks. The sharing pop-up should offer the option to capture system sound.

Why doesn't the recording start?

Make sure you have allowed the browser to share your screen. Also, make sure you are selecting a valid screen or window to record.

How to resolve permission issues?

Check your browser settings to make sure it has permission to access your display, microphone, and system sound. Restart your browser if necessary.

How to change recording quality?

The recording quality depends on your browser settings. It is currently not possible to change the quality directly in the tool.

Can I record a video call or online meeting?

Yes, you can record video calls or online meetings. However, please check the privacy policies and get permission from participants before recording.

Can I record games or applications outside of the browser?

Yes, you can record games or applications outside of the browser, as long as you select the correct screen or window when sharing.

Can I record just a part of the screen?

Currently, recording is done from the entire screen, a specific window, or a browser tab. To record only a portion of the screen, you will need to use video editing tools after recording.

Can I record the screen without the browser appearing in the video?

Yes, when screen sharing, choose the option to record a specific window or tab instead of the entire screen. This will prevent the browser from appearing in the video.

Saving

Can I record the screen for an unlimited time?

Recording time depends on your computer's memory and performance. For very long recordings, it is recommended to test the tool and make sure your system can handle the demand.

Where is the recorded video saved?

The video is saved in your browser's default downloads folder. You can find it in your computer's "Downloads" folder.

What to do if the video is not saved?

Verify that the recording has finished correctly by clicking "Stop". If the problem persists, reload the page and try again.

Can I save the recording in another format?

Currently, the recording is only saved in .mkv format. If you need another format, you can use video conversion tools such as HandBrake or Online Video Converter.

What to do if the video is corrupted?

If the video won't open or is corrupted, try recording again. Make sure your browser is up to date and that you have enough disk space to save the file.

Why is the recording file large?
